Spending the Night
Our century old plantation cottages are
located on the grounds, not far from the
antebellum mansion. They are comfortable and
secure in an uncluttered and quiet setting.
All rooms are equipped with central air
conditioning and heat, game boards for your
entertainment, microwave, coffee maker and
of course the makings, refrigerator, hair
dryer, iron and ironing board and luxury
waffle monogram robes. Some cottages are
also furnished with Tempur-Pedic
mattresses for a most restful night's sleep,
Cable T.V. and wireless internet. Check
individual cottages to see the appointments
available in each.
Indeed, our guests find delight in
leisurely strolls on the lush grounds
(certain restrictions may apply during
special activities at the Plantation) or on
the levee where they watch the mighty
Mississippi River roll by. They tell us that
their stays here are wonderful retreats
where they unwind, clear their minds, and
awake refreshed and ready to enjoy a full
country breakfast (included
in the cottage rental rate) which
is served daily at the Oak Alley Restaurant
between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Arrival
Check
in: 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Check out: 11:00 a.m. (12
noon with Do not Disturb Package - see Packages).
Our experience suggests that guests feel
more at home and enjoy their visit more when
they arrive with time for a tour (not included in rental
rate) and have the opportunity to
become familiar with their surroundings
before nightfall. Special arrangements must
be made for those guests who cannot arrive
before 10:00 p.m.
Due to the high volume of repeat cottage
guests, mansion tour tickets are not
included in your stay but guests are invited
to walk the historic grounds at their
leisure. Mansion tour tickets may be
purchased in advance or upon check in.
Reservations
A deposit equal to full amount of
reservation must be guaranteed by
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or American
Express. Deposit will be refunded if
cancellation is received by 5:00 p.m. seven
days prior to arrival, less a $25.00 fee for
each day cancelled. Cancellations received
within 7 days prior to arrival will forfeit
full deposit.
When making reservations you may purchase a
romantic cheese and fresh fruit tray, bottle
of wine or champagne to have in your room
awaiting, your arrival for that evening
stroll under the oaks. Evening meals
may be purchased and delivered to your room.
