1 oz. Simple syrup
1 oz. Bourbon
2 cups mint leaves, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water
Place water sugar and slightly crushed mint leaves in a pot
Heat until sugar dissolves then strain
Pour 1 oz. of this mixture (simple syrup) in a zombie glass or silver goblet
Fill with crushed ice, stir until ice dissolves some, add crushed ice and bourbon to top of glass
Stir until frosty
Garnish with a sprig of mint and serve

For a virgin mint julep, we use Minute Maid Lemonade in place of the Bourbon, with just a small touch of the mint syrup.
