Oak Alley Hosts SABIT International Travel Marketing Group

Oak Alley Welcomes SABIT: In June, Oak Alley was honored to host the U.S. Department of Commerce's SABIT Program: Destination Development and Marketing delegation.  The SABIT Hotel Management delegation which is a program to facilitate an open exchange of ideas with diverse countries, and provides their delegations with valuable & practical information to improve tourism infrastructure in their homelands. SABIT targets economic decision-makers from the countries of the former Soviet Union and other regions of the world.

 

This year's tourism program took the 20 representatives to three regions: Washington, DC, Branson / St. Louis, Missouri and New Orleans, Louisiana.  The delegation attended several joint meetings and training seminars together, with an eye to promoting and enabling cooperation between participants in these closely-related industry sectors. 

 
Oak Alley was one of only two attractions that was selected in the State of Louisiana, and impressed the delegates:
