Working with the Media
Oak Alley Plantation welcomes and
encourages travel writers and journalists to
visit us when in and around the New
Orleans/Baton Rouge area. With proper
credentials, members of the press are
allowed complimentary admission and are
provided with a press kit and any other
information (slides, brochures, etc.)
needed.
Please contact Debra Mayhew (dmayhew@OakAlleyPlantation.com),
prior to your visit so that she may make the
necessary arrangements. We do ask that
journalists forward us a copy of their
finished piece after publication so that we
may keep our files current.
Oak Alley has also been included
in many documentaries and features on
the area produced by domestic and
international film crews. Again, we welcome
and encourage film crews to include Oak
Alley when in the area. All filming must be
scheduled prior to arrival by calling Debra
Mayhew, and is based on availability. Due to
the number of visitors we see each day, it
is sometimes impossible to guarantee that
footage can be acquired without people in
the shot. All crews must work around our
daily tours and our visitors, but we will
try to accommodate our film crews as much as
possible.
Location Filming Fees and Commercial Uses
of Oak Alley
Advertising rates for fashion and catalog
photography are negotiable on an individual
basis. Location fees for commercial
productions and motion pictures also should
be discussed on an individual basis by
contacting Zeb Mayhew, Administrative
Director (zmayhew@OakAlleyPlantation.com).
