Cocktail & Dinner Parties

Cocktail Receptions

A cocktail reception held at the antebellum mansion is a truly unique experience for your group. Food stations and bars are set in and around the mansion. Events are held in an open house format with a main buffet set in the formal dining room and chef style stations set around the veranda. Tables and chairs as well as entertainment are set on and around the terrace located in front of the mansion. While some seating is available, this type of function is typically a standing reception, which allows for up to 250 guests to mingle more freely throughout the mansion and immediate grounds.

Please contact our sales department at (225) 265-2151 or (800) 44ALLEY (800 442-5539) if you are interested in further information or you may also submit a request online for a proposal.

Sit-Down Dinners

Groups of up to 120 guests can dine under the famed canopy of oaks on the mansion's terrace after tour hours. This is a perfect setting for corporate dinners, private parties, and other social events. A delicious selection of served appetizers, as well as salads, entrees, and desserts, are made by our own executive chef using fresh local ingredients. Call us for a complete list of choices designed to please even the most particular of palettes.

Smaller groups of 30 or less can be pamper in true southern style in the formal dining room of the antebellum mansion. Groups of 18 or less may prefer to be served at our 16 foot antique dining room table!

The mansion is open to you and your guests, and guides in antebellum dress are on hand to offer tours and answer questions. Submit a request online for a proposal or call our experienced sales staff for more information.

Large Group Dinners:

For those clients who would like to entertain over 250 people, Oak Alley Plantation offers the perfect site for a tented function. Large groups up to 600 people can make use of our special function site, which is a 60' x 150' (9,000 sq .ft.) concrete slab, located to the rear of the open-air pavilion complex and the Oak Alley Restaurant (use of this area is contingent upon the client's rental of the appropriate size tent to cover the area). An elegant atmosphere can be created using fine china, linens, and settings.

Entertainment For All Functions:

We can refer a wide selection of entertainment: Cajun bands, Southern Gospel Choirs, brass bands, jazz bands, harpists, guitarists and more.
